American Total Protection is a Family Owned Company

American Total Protection is a family owned home security company with offices in Melbourne, FL; Hamden, CT and Salem, NH. We have customers all over the Florida and New England areas. We are often asked by our customers: how do you typically meet potential clients?

1. Existing customer base
First and foremost, ATP owes its success to existing customers. By far and away, our customers are the leading lead source for our new business. For that, we thank you! Whether it is a customer referring us to a new neighbor, leaving our company literature at their old home, or suggesting to a friend to call us, a referral from an existing customer is treated as gold at American Total Protection.

2. Cold-Calling
Our sales team is constantly trying to educate friends, families, and peers on the need for life safety products. In other words, they cold-call! Whether it is Michael visiting a BNI group or Dillon leaving a flier with a new home buyer, our sales team works very hard to educate potential customers. If you happen to see an ATP team member our on the road or in your neighborhood, do not hesitate to say hello!

3. Internet and Social Media
As you may have noticed over the past year, we are increased our internet and social media presence. This has allowed American Total Protection to increase brand awareness and ultimately lead to more sales. We try to keep existing and potential customers up to date on security trends and technology through our website and social media outlets. If you ever come across an interesting article pertaining to life safety, please pass it along! We would love to share it with our other clients.

As Honeywell authorized security dealers we have the backing of a Fortune 100 company, yet ATP is still a family owned company and we always will be . Our clients sometimes are intimidated by our growth. We hear their concerns but we believe that the larger we get, the more our existing customers will benefit.

As we onboard new customers, it allows us to better service our existing customer base. For example, if we used to have 10 customers in Lakeville, CT and we now have 20, it allows our service department to more efficiently services that location, resulting in faster service times for our existing customer base.

In addition, as we grow, we receive better equipment pricing from our suppliers . This allows us to offer more competitive pricing to our existing customers on new equipment !

We value your business and want your help in growing! Please provide us feedback on how we can be better! Call, email or visit our website.

Security alarms can communicate via internet (hardwired or WiFi depending on the system), phone line, or cellular. Often security alarms have two communication paths—one that is primary and one that is backup. ATP Alarms encourages all customers to have a back up form of communication in the event the primary fails. We believe that the best is setup for fast and reliable communication is internet/WiFi primary with cellular backup. We feel that the internet communication is the fastest while the cellular is most reliable. Traditional alarms relied on phone lines to communicate.
