Lynx Touch or Tuxedo

Lynx Touch vs Tuxedo, which is best?

Let’s start this blog off by doing something fun and exhilarating, a.k.a… a brain exercise. Okay, so clear your mind for a second. Done? Now I am going to write a term at the end of this sentence and as soon as you read it I bet I can tell the first thing that comes to your mind… Security system ; I am going to make a fairly educated guess and say that the first thing that came to your mind was an off white bulky keypad, right? I know, you are probably thinking “Wow that was impressive, I wonder what his hourly rates are?” well the good news for you is that it is actually free of charge when you schedule an appointment with me. All joking aside, the visual aspect of the keypad is the biggest concern of most new and current customers.

For some stranger reason people tend to think that the security industry has one keypad that is indestructible and will never change. This is where I put those thoughts to rest. Here at American Total Protection we offer an abundance of keypads for our customers to choose from. Seeing as how we are a Honeywell licensed and trained dealer we have numerous options as far as keypads go to fit whatever style you might want. Yes, we do still offer the basic keypads where you only have your numbers and the basic away and stay features. To the disbelief of many though, there actually are cool state of the art keypads out there that come fully loaded with awesome new features.

The two latest products that American Total Protection has to offer are the Honeywell “ Lynx Touch ” and the Honeywell “ Tuxedo ”. In their own right, both are extremely appealing. They are great because not only do they come programed with more features than a basic keypad, they are also a lot easier on the eyes. The comparison that I usually make so customers have an idea of the size and looks of the keypad is a smaller version of a kindle fire. Some of the cool features that come with the keypad are the ability to get your local weather , traffic , or leaving a note for someone else in the house and or business in which the keypads installed in. Although these features are great, the one function that I find most attractive is the ability to turn your keypad into a virtual photo frame . With a simple push of a button you can turn your boring keypad into great memories for you to see in order to get you in that great mode when heading off to work each morning.

Now I know these types of keypads are not for everyone, but this is a simple luxury that we offer to our customers because we as a company know it is important to stay up to date with technology. So if you are looking for that new state of the art technology while having your house secured, ATP Alarms has got you covered. And remember, ATP Alarms is American Total Protection!

Security alarms can communicate via internet (hardwired or WiFi depending on the system), phone line, or cellular. Often security alarms have two communication paths—one that is primary and one that is backup. ATP Alarms encourages all customers to have a back up form of communication in the event the primary fails. We believe that the best is setup for fast and reliable communication is internet/WiFi primary with cellular backup. We feel that the internet communication is the fastest while the cellular is most reliable. Traditional alarms relied on phone lines to communicate.
