Security Industry Break Though

When Did The Security Industry Break Though Happen?

Having worked in the security industry for a few years now, it is always fun to look back and see some of the major changes that have taken place . In the security industry switching from hardwired contacts to wireless contacts was a revolutionary security industry break through. The fact that customers no longer needing to have technicians making holes in their houses to run wires is huge, so I can see why many people in the industry see that as the biggest change. For me the biggest transition is people using cellular monitoring for their systems .

When I first started working in the industry everyone was only interested in landline monitoring. As time progressed, so did people’s views of how they should be monitoring their homes. Instead of walking into a potential client’s home and having to tell them about cellular monitoring, customers are asking me right from the start if we offer cellular monitoring. It really has taken the industry by storm and we here at ATP think it is the best product to make sure your property, belongings, and loved ones are secure.

There are a lot of benefits to having cellular monitoring that people don’t even think about. The most common thought is that if someone cuts your phone line it won’t matter because you’re actually running of the cell unit which will still send a signal. While this is definitely the best reasoning as to why you should be switching over to cellular, here are a few other reasons as to why people are starting to make the transition. Home phones are old and outdated. I don’t mean to come off in a rude manner, but seriously, who uses a landline anymore. Most people are paying for a landline and never even use it because their cellphones are glued to their hands.

Seeing as how everyone carries around their cellphones with them most calls that come into your home phone are someone trying to sell you a knife set or something random from a telemarketer.

When you have cellular monitoring it is something that we will be installing and monitoring so if something goes wrong with your system, you know who to call. No more phone tag with three different companies to try and figure out the situation.

When it is all said it done is landline an option that should be totally dismissed? Perhaps not, but the way I see it is if there are way too many benefits from cellular monitoring that you should not even think twice about it. In order to give your family the safest state of mind , why not go with the best technology out on the market. Then tell your wife how much you saved by losing the landline. It has definitely great seeing our customer base take advantage of this technology and I can’t wait to see what other kind of goodies our industry will come up with in the near future. Please if you have any questions call our office at 844-ATP-ALRM . This is real life . You need a real security company . We are American Total Protection .

Security alarms can communicate via internet (hardwired or WiFi depending on the system), phone line, or cellular. Often security alarms have two communication paths—one that is primary and one that is backup. ATP Alarms encourages all customers to have a back up form of communication in the event the primary fails. We believe that the best is setup for fast and reliable communication is internet/WiFi primary with cellular backup. We feel that the internet communication is the fastest while the cellular is most reliable. Traditional alarms relied on phone lines to communicate.
