As a Husband and a Father, I know I have to have a home security system. It’s not a question of luck. It’s a matter of planning ahead. There are many ways to avoid this. Buy a smoke alarm at any hardware or discount store, never overload circuits or extension cords , when using appliances follow the manufacturer’s safety precautions just to name a few things. Plan an escape plan . Practice an escape plan from every room in the house. Select a location where everyone can meet after escaping the house. I have a three year old which seems all this is hard to achieve but, if you teach your children that fire is a tool and not a toy and fire can be dangerous they will learn to take precaution and have respect for it. These are all good thing to protect and educate your family .

My first line of defense for my family is to get monitored smoke / carbon monoxide detectors installed to my professionally installed and monitored security system by ATP Alarms .
