This means taking the time and wherewithal with your security , cooking , and family . Being a little more conscientious of the time of year and your surroundings will lead to a safer holiday. The days are longer and darker—be prepared!
– Protect those presents ! This time of year, homes typically have more presents than usual in the house. Whether it is dump truck for your child, a watch for your wife, or a beautiful new tie for your partner, these things all have sentimental and monetary value. Protect that value!
– Do not put all your boxes on the curb ! Bad guys love this! You become an easy mark when you put your Samsung 52” TV box outside next to your Xbox box. Be cautious. Take the extra second to break down the boxes.
– Cooking ! People are often behind the stove more frequently around the holiday. Be cautious! Never leave the kitchen unattended when the stove is on. Also, follow these tips for kitchen grease fires:
Elderly family! This time of year there is a lot commotion. Give those elderly parents and relative extra attention. Walk them into the house. Carry their food platters. All the extra hustle and bustle may make Nana more tired than usual.
