The New Year. Time for celebration and cheer for another year around the sun. Time also for resolutions and promises to ourselves and others. Time for commitments to making a change and to doing better.

Resolutions for the new year can be personal or business related. Personal commitments to self are generally to get healthy, exercise more, eat right. Business related resolutions are often to improve profits, expand offerings or increase customer satisfaction. Then there are promises to family that we make at the start of the year – to be more engaging, have more family time. It doesn’t matter what the resolution, but it’s the time for them. But do we ever resolve to improve our safety and security ?

Your 2017 New Year’s Resolutions List
We look to start the year off on the right foot. In so doing we should make our New Year’s resolutions to protect our family and friends. This is one resolution which we wholeheartedly support. After all, we are in the business of security. And we know it is often impossible to predict which safety and security threat or vulnerability will affect us on a daily basis much less in 2017. The good news is that we can prepare for them. Show your family that you love them and care for them in 2017. Your Neighbor’s Keeper in 2017
Another resolution that we at ATP is happy to make is to continue supporting local businesses and looking out for each other. Resolve to continue being a good neighbor in 2017. Look out for each other. And for family and friends who are successful, wish them continued success. For those who aren’t doing as well or facing unfavorable circumstances, reach out a helping hand. It could be just to listen, but be there.

Security alarms can communicate via internet (hardwired or WiFi depending on the system), phone line, or cellular. Often security alarms have two communication paths—one that is primary and one that is backup. ATP Alarms encourages all customers to have a back up form of communication in the event the primary fails. We believe that the best is setup for fast and reliable communication is internet/WiFi primary with cellular backup. We feel that the internet communication is the fastest while the cellular is most reliable. Traditional alarms relied on phone lines to communicate.
